There's always the safe mode workaround if there's no administrator password, failing that, you'll have to go to some lengths to get back into the files, before a clean install of the OS.Ubuntu is an ancient African word, meaning: 'I can't configure Debian'.0

is it a Windows XP or Windows vista computer?
edit - timbim beat me to what i was going to say0 -
Use the bootdisk password resetting tool here:
http://home.eunet.no/pnordahl/ntpasswd/
Although originally for NT it works on all more recent Win variants including Vista0 -
Does that work even with an administrator password in place? If it does, that exposes windows security a bit...Ubuntu is an ancient African word, meaning: 'I can't configure Debian'.0

i couldnt get it to work & reset the admin account passwords on 2 admin accounts.Does that work even with an administrator password in place? If it does, that exposes windows security a bit...

Yes, it works with any account, including the admin account. I've used it myself successfully with XP Pro on an ex-company PC where the company IT dept wouldn't tell me the admin password.
I suppose you could say that it exposes Windows security, but if you have access to a PC so that you can boot it from a CD, you can do pretty much anything to it anyway!0 -
