As long as your LABC said it was OK. If they decide to apply the letter of the law then it has to be 100% identical ie. same make and model.

As for the Mira service, its one of those nice things people seem to overlook when comparing prices of showers. The other make may be £20 cheaper, but if it drips you are stuck with it.
As you can tell, I like Mira showers - well worth the extra.

Well my Mira was discounted. Originally in my urgent quest for an 8.5 Homebase only had a Triton and I had failed in Argos and B&Q.

I took it home only to be told "no way" as the inlet is on the opposite side to the Mira that they had piped/wired for plus when they opened up the box to check it had previously been assembled. Rang Homebase and different chap went off to look for me and rang me back and said there were 2 Mira 8.5 in stock and I could exchange for that.

Only problem was the Triton had 20% off making it £95 but the Mira didn't. Feeling bold I asked him for discount as I had to return to store and he said to ask when I came in. So back to the store I go and I asked could I have the Mira for the same price as Triton as I had to return etc. and one phone call to manager and it was a "yes no problem".

Anyone that wants a Mira and can't find one try your local electrical wholesaler. www.denmans.co.uk for example (other whlesalers available, shop around for best price)
