How to clean quarry tiled floor

Hi all,

Bought a 1930's semi and it has some nice quarry tiles in the entrance hall. They are very dirty, covered in paint and grime. Any suggestions on what to use to clean and/or seal them?

Thanks,

Rob

No connection with this company, but saw a link to this product on another thread. It's unbelievable!!!!! The quarry tiles in my house are about 30 years old; I live in the very muddy country with a very muddy dog. The tiles are in the kitchen so prone to all sorts of spills, grease etc.

It's no exaggeration to say that both the tiles and the grout came up "as new" with very little effort. I used it neat with an old washing up brush and just gently scrubbed with the brush, 5 or 6 times over a 15 min period (left it, went away then went back). Really - you won't believe how good the results are.

These are probably Original Victorian Encaustic tiles. (slightly different to quarries). These look great cleaned up, a nice origianl feature.

Once you've cleaned these they may benefit from a sealant or topical polish, it's keeps them cleaner for longer and stops that ingrained dirt.

Have a chat with the guys at Extensive they'll give you all the information you need.
