Orchid dialler losing time settings

No matter how many times I reset it my Orchid V4 dialler keeps losing its time settings: rather than evening and weekend calls routing through BT, they go via 18185.
I have a broadband filter connected to the main phone socket, and the V4 connected to the filter. Does this make any difference or is my dialler faulty???
Grateful for assistance.

I used to get this on a certain socket through a filter. I think it maybe tied to insufficient power for the box. You could look into an AC adapter for it.0 -
I'm inclined to agree that the problem is likely to be the telephone line voltage not being adequate to maintain the V4's internal clock. The V4+ was recommended to overcome such problems (a mains transformer provides a secondary power supply) but they're no longer available.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0

Agree with other comments... I was suffering from this problem. V4+ sorted it0

i've still have this problem with my dialler. I'm forever getting bills from primus which have charges for calls which should've gone via either BT or 18185.0

Orchid still have a few V4+ diallers - I phoned them and ordered one this morning. Cost around 20 quid including the forum discount. They supply it pre-programmed with the Heinz data, and re-programming it (or parts of it) using the programming tool available here makes it dead easy.
Means I have a V4 to sell on . . . .This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Hi
We have had a V4 dialler box for a long time now and only recently have we started having the same problem. Would the cause mentioned earlier be the cause of our problem due to it not happening previously? We are having work done in the house and the telephone wires etc. are being moved back and forth.
Our setup is the main BT socket from outside, an extension from the main socket into the bedroom, the dialler box and a filter plugged in, along with our phone.
Something else to mention, when the dialler box is plugged in, it stops the internet working.
We are with (Sky free evening and weekend call) as our CPS.0
