Hey there!
Thinking of applying for a new Abbey 0% card (after reading the nightmares people have had doing it online I think i'll do it in a branch instead) however, my question is;
Is there any benefit/drawback from having an additional cardholder added during the application process, might abbey look favourably on it or not?
Just wondering if anyone has any advice on this.
Many Thanks in advance!

Ah, pants to that then, have to check out the next best thing then.0

ah, here hold on, my mistake, I thought I was refering to the following:
The Abbey Credit Card
- 0% for 15 months on balance transfers*
- 0% for 3 months on purchases
- No annual fee
- Only 15.9% APR typical (variable)
This link should work - http://www.abbey.com/csgs/Satellite?canal=CABBEYCOM&cid=1210607177336&cidAgrup=845616358929450&empr=Abbeycom&leng=en_GB&pagename=Abbeycom%2FPage%2FWC_ACOM_TemplateW2&posSel=1
Is this card still available?
Cheers

I belive the Abbey Credit Card has filled the gap. Abbey Zero is supposed to be coming back at some point if you want one - I can't remember the specifics.
My application for Abbey (or Shabbey as they are known around here) was very slow. Others have said you are best off applying in bank. Can't see what difference an additional cardholder would make? I suppose they could see this as a good thing as it may increase your spending. I certainly can't see why it would be held against you as long as that person can be traced via the electrol roll.0 -
The Abbey Zero card has been withdrawn. The new Abbey card is not nearly as good as it has something like a 3% balance transfer fee and doesn't offer fee-free overseas spending.
Having a second card holder is not always a good idea. It will permanently link your credit rating with the credit rating of the second card holder - and if they have a bad rating that's bad news!! You could get the link removed in future but it's a bit fiddly.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 503

Hmmm...you might be right.
