Log cabin Hols?

Can anyone recommend a nice self catering log cabin in the UK for a 2 night stay in March. Sorry to be specific but I have found out today my mother-in-law is willing to have our 3 girls for a weekend in March and we haven't had a single night together wthout them in nearly 8 years:eek:, no-one can handle 3 kids under 8 it seems

Thanks very much, I have no idea were to look and it has always been my wifes dream to stay in a log cabin so here goes!

All replies appreciated

  • we have stayed at tilford woods (near farnham/guildford in surrey) twice for a nice cosy weekend break.

can highly recommend a cobbett lodge, with jacuzzi bath, private sauna and your own hot tub on the verandah!

    can also book via hoseasons.

I've stayed at Pine Lake lodges in Carnforth which is just of the M6 & on the south edge of the Lake district. There is only a leisure centre & pub on the site and its lovely & peaceful.

I dont know their website but I always do a google search & contact owners of lodges directly - it works out cheaper & you can always be as cheeky as me and do a bit of haggling :D If you do a search for No 2 lakeside lodge @ carnforth they have a hot tub on the decking - its never been available for when we want to go

Enjoy your weekend wherever you decide to go.

oh, might be worth trying ebay too. :D
Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...

This is in a really beautiful spot. I went there many years ago, with my mum who knows the owner. However I would check out heating because Scotland in March is a bit chilly. There are lovely Wooden cabins (but very luxurious) just north of Crieff, but can't remember the name. Probably will come back to me.

Thankyou everyone for your time and replies, it is greatly appreciated, I now need some time (but quickly) to look at these cabins.

    Thanks again
