Visitor counter going bananas

in Ebay, auctions, car boot sales, post & parcels
Listed a few items this morning, and on one of them the visitor counter has gone bananas - up to several hundred in the first 5 mins. Can't possibly be "genuine" (human) visits - are there automated searches which pick up certain listings? :confused:
