Hello
I am getting married in July this year and need to lose a stone quickly!
I sit in an office all day so I was wondering if anyone could recommend cheap exercise equipment I could buy? I know walking is free but with the dark and blimmin cold evenings I'm not very motivated!
My wedding dress fittings are in a month so I need to tone up ASAP!!
Any recommendations greatly recieved,
Many Thanks
Lea

cheap exercise equipment.......
1. toning :rotfl:
- Try half press ups (hands on worktop, stand with feet as far back as you can manage) against the kitchen worktops whilst you are cooking your low fat dinner!
- Try using tins of beans etc as hand weights and do bicep curls with arms both down by your sides and held out
- Try sit ups with toes curled under bed or something heavy, or try without feet support. So full sit ups and Half ones (pulsing)
2. cardio vascular :j
Sorry but the only way to shift it is to either sprint walk/jog/run. Lets look at it this way...I know it's cold but you'll warm up and it's dark no one will see you huffing and puffing. Only need to get your heart rate up for 30mins consistently a day!
If you exercise and eat sensibly you lose more than a stone in time for July. Sorry there's no quick fixes.

Can you cut down on anything you are eating. I've lost 13.5lbs in 6 weeks with Slimming World and just walking DD to school and back instead of taking the car. Try running upstairs instead of walking!!!!I haven't got one!0

Would your work let you have a Gym ball in the office? You can sit on it at your desk instead of a chair, and without realising you use a lot of your core stability muscles and end up with a nice flat (or flatter) tummy.0

Just cut out as much rubbish from your diet as you can allow yourself(and we all do eat some sort of rubbishy stuff without realising it) and follow a healthy eating regime, without being a saint, and you will be amazed how much weight will drop off without trying too hard.DTD - Doing Tesco Daily - while I still have vouchers!0

For health reasons I have had to adopt a low fat diet . The recomended source of fat per day is 70 , I have have been doing less than half that ,per day since 7/1/06 and I am over a stone lighter. All you have to do is check packaging and recipes and away you go . HTH0

how much weight do you av to lose ?????
my cousin as just lent me her copy of angela griffin's dance dvd
she lost over 2 stone in just over 2 months by doing this 1/2 hour workout 4 times a week
it is really good and shows all instructions in 'slow' motion
having fittings myself for a wedding dress (wish i hadn't but gone through it coz got wrong man in the end
) if you continue to go for this weight lost so soon, and you continue to do the weight lost regime, you will need extra dress fittings which will cost u extra money
can u not put off your dress fittings till at least May then you will get a better profile of yourself and the seamstress will know how much to take off the dress
Got married on 1st August
thank you to everyone on the weddings and anniversary forum xxx

I'm on weight watchers and have lost 13lbs in 6 weeks.. But I don't pay as I'm a returning gold member after pregnancy.
I suggest you sign up to their site, I can work out how many points you need, and then you can just use their site for points values for free, anything that you can't find on the search, just post a message and someone will help you."I did then, what I knew then. And when I knew better, I did better"0 -
I'd also recommend Weight Watchers. I lost 3.5 stone after my 1st baby and it took about 9 months to lose (about the same as it took to go on :rotfl: ) and I've lost 2.5 stone after my 2nd. It only took about 3 months to lose the weight this time and both times I didn't really feel like I was dieting.
If you want all the bumph from them just go when they've got free registration and you'll get the start up books and charts free, just pay £5 weekly sub, and buy the points book. That's all you need, not all the cook books, calculators and WW products. I only went once to get the stuff then just did it on my own. It's actually cheaper to get the stuff this way than buying it 2nd hand on ebay!
Good luck!!:smileyhea0
