Quoted one price charged more

Hi just wondering if anyone could give some advice, was quoted £1500 to put in a septic tank (dont have the quote in writing). When the bill arrived it was for £3500, have queried this and have been told extra work was required. I wasn't told this when the work was being done. I haven't paid the bill and have asked for a full breakdown of all the work done. Just wondering if anyone knows where I stand with this. (By the way the work was done in Scotland and I believe they have different laws)
Thanks

Surely if there was more work to be done then the guy should of come to you first and discussed this with you . Bit of a silly move with it not being written down
, but hayho we all make mistakes, i bet it wont happen again tho will it
. Why dont you ring someone like C.A.B does this guy belong to any federations as sometimes they have there own advisors that can mediate between the two of you. But stand your ground tho, good luck.

In Scotland a verbal contract is binding (proving it is a different matter)
This stuff (companise giving one price quoting and another at the end) really gets on my goat
take legal advice- you may have cover on your home insurancebaldly going on...0
