I need webcam drivers please.

I bought my daughter a webcam with built in mic. (from a computer fayre) to use whilst talking to her friends on msn.
No matter how many times I try to install the drivers from the enclosed cd, it does not work. The disc is recognised but won't auto-run>I open the files manually and still no joy.
I returned the unit to the seller and he said they had problems with the discs on others he'd sold but never any problems with the cam itself so I accepted a replacement disc.Got home, tried again, same story.
His other advice was to go to the website and download the drivers from there.Well I've been to the site and cannot find any sign of them. Also done a google search and also instructed windows to find the drivers but all with no luck. Can anyone help or advise where to find the drivers please.
The webcam is a 1.3 mega pixel SENSTON ZH-004.
I have tried https://www.senston.com and .uk but no joy with either.

Try a different USB slot, install drivers and attach cables when asked
if CD works? Ummm apart from that... Er I dunno.

Try copying the driver file to a folder first.

When you plug it in to the usb does it list SENSTON ZH-004 or something else?
Looking @ their website I suspect the camera is made by someone else but with their branding.

Also, did you plug it in before you installed the cd? if you did xp may have loaded it's own drivers which are not suitable.

Alot of usb products should not be plugged in until prompted by the CD.

    HTH.
You're Damned If You Do & You're Damned If You Don't
  • Intel,,I Tried copying the file to folder first but again no joy.
Russ,,,I tried the disc before connecting the cam just as the the badly written instuctions said. When I did plug it in (to see if windows could find the drivers via the net)windows recognized a usb webcam but not the specific brand.
