Broken Toilet in Champagne - Ins will Match!

Hubby took a chip out of the toilet trying to get old seat off. :eek:

When I phoned ins last year they said we were not covered - so put chip back in a sealed with Duck tape. Renewal notice came in so asked to upgrade to acidental for Buildings and asked CS to go over what was inclded in existing policy - turns out we were covered all along!!!! :mad: :mad:

Been living with a black taped toilet for 6 months for nothing..

The contractor came out on Friday and took away the chip so that he can get a match for my suite -

We hd been intending to replace suite in the spring due to the damage with a white suite, but looks like ins will give us new toilet in Champagne

Any Comments or hints!!

Maybe the plumber could do you a favour and not be able to match the colour
You'd get the whole suite replaced

That is what I thought - but policy has a clause that states they will only replace broken item......... They have allocated the contractor - hopefully they can't match and just get a white toilet and replace sink and bath ourselves....

Thanks for that - I thought my suite was awful but some onthat site really take the biscuit!!!!!

Contact the contrator and ask him to replace it with a white toilet it should not make any differance to him or the insurers. Champagne bits are still easy to obtain saw one suite in dophines bathrooms last week perhaps coloured suites are on there way back!
