Who's Liable for Council Tax?

My friend has moved out of a rented property before the end of the tenancy which ends on May 22nd. Who is liable for the council tax; her or the landlord?

    She will be liable.

She can try to get it knocked down for some reason or other, maybe.

If she left early, she is responsible for all the costs that the landlord bears in trying to replace her, which means if the landlord had to pay it she'd still be liable to pay him back.

Interesting. What about the other council tax bill bearing her name at her new address? She can't live in two places.

Why cant you live in two places?

You can have as many houses as you can afford and pay council tax in each and every one

she agreed to the term and including agreeing to pay rent you agree to pay the bills for the set term that includes council tax if it has to be paid.

Ok. I'll change that. She DOESN'T live at more than one place.

Unless council tax is included in her rent, she's responsible for it surely
It's not easy having a good time. Even smiling makes my face ache.
