Cleethorpes on 22nd March (next Sunday)...anything open?

We are thinking of going out to cleethorpes for the day next sunday, the 22nd of March, as its mothers day and also my mums birthday.

Does anyone know if any of the amusements or anything will be open, or will it just be a day of walking on the beach and feeding the ducks on the boating lake?

We went to Skegness last weekend, so similar. The fairground wasn't open but all the amusement arcades and the small fairground stalls were open. Crazy golf and the seal sanctuary was open, cafes and that were open near the beach and all shops pretty much open.

So really the only thing that was shut was the fair, and surrounding rides.

The amusements are nearly always open. It may be worth ringing the tourist board there to see if maybe the new Discovery Centre is open and the Crazy Golf. You don't say if you are taking children but if you haven't been for a while there is now a 'pirate boat' in the sand pit area near the Discovery Centre and the Boating Lake.

We spent a week there in height of Summer at a caravan park close to the theme park, we were bored to be honest. The theme park was about the only decent day we had in Cleethorpes. Bare in mind even in Summer it can be quiet cold there, I think its because its right on the tip of the estuary.
