Just thinking forward from Hazzanet's post on the exclusive relevance of the book and the scheme to the US financial products, it might be worth investigating if the same mechanism would be possible to put up in the UK...

Has anyone heard of this forthcoming book by Pamela Yellen, titled Bank on yourself ?

I haven’t seen the book, but looking at the contents, it sounds to me like the usual psycho-babble, self-help stuff (“I was a bag-lady, I changed my life and become a Millionaire within one month!”).

Oh and look, they want to sell you further training: You can become a certified advisor, or they have ‘free special offers for readers’.

    T. Harv Eker, author, N. Y. Times #1 best seller, "Secrets of the Millionaire Mind"

"If you're looking for more of the same conventional financial advice, this isn't the book for you. But if you're prepared to take back control of your financial life once and for all, "Bank On Yourself" is a ground-breaking method that can put you on the fast track to reaching your goals and dreams."

Could the whole thing be some quasi-cult or a pyramid selling scheme?

Buy the book and tell us what you think about it.
