Hi Mewbie,
Yes they did, I bought one, in the late 80s. It was the first house that I owned. My Nan walked into the living room and said "what a lovely hall" (it had the stairs in and was the size of her hall). I think starter homes as a concept came in about the time that the government stopped putting minimum sizes on properties (early 1980s?) Suddenly everything got much smaller, and nothing's changed since. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Yep we purchased one of the horrible places in early 1990.....great fun trying to fit all our stuff in from our very large 2 bedroom flat. It was all set out on the front patch of garden (couldn't be called a proper garden) but with no where to go in the house! We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
This week we have heard from a respectable researcher that house prices could fall by another 55%. House sales have dropped to their lowest level since records began. Holiday rents are in freefall due to rocketing levels of unold properties. Estate agents and morgage brokers are closing down every week.
In the midst of this, david881 (presumably an estate agent) posts a yarn about how how properties are flying off the shelves in Suffolk. David881 where is your shred of evidence for the 'Suffold Miracle'? Lets face it 'dave' you made it all up didn't you.
I only wish I had... I know what I am experiencing. I have no wish to try and persuade you further.0 -

I am wondering this... Do you think I should hold my nerve and rent, taking my equity with me?0 -
You are in a different part of Suffolk to me, only repros being sold at the moment for good discounts. If only it was biased... I am living it and pulling my hair out... How many of the opinions here are based on recycling what they have been told... This is my experience… My fact. I gave that recycled crap to the estate agent -20 % blah blah.. He laughed and then sold another house.0 -
