I wouldn't have thought so, all the ones I have seen have a definate top and bottom side with the top chamfered to give a slight 'V' betwwen the blocks

My other half 'tinkers' with cars all the time, and we have had no end of oil spills on the drive. We have found the 'gunk' driveway cleaner to be very good...

also, i believe he has used oven cleaner ( Mr Muscle or similar) and a good stiff brush, but this was on a tarmac drive

NB... I accept no responsibility for any damage caused to property by following his example! :-).... just thought i would add this, as you never know!

    No it isn't.
Porous means it allows water through - blocks are very slow at letting water through and that's why many people have puddles or flooding after having monoblocks laid.
Concrete is also not porous if mixed/poured correctly. It is possible to make a porous mix but it mustn't contain any fines and is also fairly weak.
