I bought some non-slip stuff from Aldi to use in the boot of OH's car when we had an Audi A4 (company car) as stuff kept slipping around everywhere and I was sick of chasing the carrier bags and their contents around the boot after shopping  I now use it for lining my kitchen cupboards where I keep glasses and (when I find it :o ) I'll be using it under our new rug...now if I could just remember where I put it

Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!
  • You can also stitch a couple of flat Kilner jar rubber rings to the underneath of it

Or paint a layer of Copydex on the bottom of the rug.

(Let it dry before putting the rug down, though!)

  • I have been using Carpet Stop Anti Slip Rug Underlay from The Rug Seller which has worked great on all of my rugs. I had tried other products but found this to work the best.

We just use a few lines of caulking on the underside of the rug. Not sure I'd do it to a pricey rug, but all of ours are pretty inexpensive!

I bought two stips of anti slip stuff from the £ shop. One strip each side of a large rug and it hasn't moved at all.
