Letting Agents breaking contract...urgent help required...

Hi topsy, my daughter has since told me the landlord is in fact the relative of the letting agent as it is a family business so the letting agent and landlord are actually connected and also that if repairs should be done by the agent or landlord then they should have done them when they asked; more than once over a period of months and some of these are in my opinion quite serious, e.g. loose glass panels in the inner front door....just one good gust of wind and...well!!!.... Also they did not forget 2 inform them about visits etc, they just didnt bother to tell them about them because they are students and they treat them with contempt,they now have heard of a number of people who have had the same problems with them.

So there you have it, my daughter has been reading these posts and while topsyturvy does point out

"Letting agents, like everyone else, are not infallible and do forget things"

....it may be prudent to remember there are 3 sides to every story...the agents side...my daughters side....and the right side....and I know who I believe on this occasion...topsy...you may be good at your job and credit to you and thanks for your info....but students beware...there are some really bad apples out there
