I'm used to the conventional built in wardrobes but will soon have a small walk in wardrobe once we move. Whats the best way to utilise it, it will be just an empty cupboard to start with. The size is 1.25m x 1.75m (4'1" x 5'8") with the door on the narrowest side. Were can i get the best fixtures for it ?
TIA

Well, I've had a walk-in-wardrobe my whole life, really love it, especially for women, (judging your a gal, by your name!) you can keep all your make-up, cosmetics; clothes, shoes, handbags and all bits and bobs you own in there, close the wardrobe door and your room should look and be clutter free! (and much more spacious)
So taking in all the above, you're lucky if it doesnt have any fixtures in it already, so make sure you plan for all the above.
To give you a hint, when I stand in the doorway of my wardrobe, i have a set of built in drawers (4) on the wall on my right; a clothes rail going along the entire back wall, and above the rail, a shelf, also the total length of the back wall. (the clothes rail is actually fixed to the bottom of this shelf) if this makes any sense to you!!! So its quite big on top to store stuff...
I have the entire floorspace free, so u can put one or 2 shelves up against the back wall underneath where your clothes will be hanging, this is ideal to store all you shoes on!** i didn't lose my mind, i sold it on ebay **0 -
