hello
There isnt anything that you can do, its just the way the industry works

Is £200 more than the deposit you have paid?0

Not unless they have a price guarantee in place. You made a contract at a price, which you must have thought was an acceptable deal at the time you booked.
Look at it this way. If they had increased the price, you wouldn't expect to have to pay the increased price.0 -
Why Why Why go looking at the price again  I guess human nature.
As all have said previous you would not pay more if it went up so if it goes down just unfortunate.
Supply and demand controls the market and it seemd there is not as much demand for the trip now as they anticipated.
If you paid less than £200 deposit then cancel lose your deposit and re book."Man invented language to satisfy his deep need to complain."

I've just looked at some flights I booked and they are now less than half price. I will have to but this down to experience, as before I have booked stuff and felt smug that i've paid less than others.

And the ultimate question would you be happy to pay more if the holiday had increased in price??Live each day like its your last because one day you'll be right0 -

What happens if you cancel? Can you get the deposit back? Check their cancellation policy... If so, cancel, get your £300 back and rebook at the cheaper rate (might be worth checking that you can rebook first...).I am the General Manager of an hotel in Telford and am happy to offer advice. I can't promise to be perfect, but I'm happy to try to help.

There is no chance they would get deposit back because they want to book at cheaper price. They might be able to cancel and lose deposit and book at lower price if this is viable and saves some money. What happens if you cancel? I suppose the flip side is the price could have also went up and you wouldn't have expected your holiday to rise.
Never the less im sure you will still enjoy the holiday regardless.0
