Two medium lattes in Costa = £4.60. A mosquito net to save a life = £5.
Maybe that was alot of peoples thinking.

Think is though, you don't look as trendy coming in to the office in the morning with a Costa Mosquito Net.

The whole thing looked slicker and more professional this year .
Maybe they are just getting better at getting the most out of the opportunity.

Maybe more people were stuck in on a Friday night this year .... too poor to go out down the town and blow £50 on beers/kebabs... yet they were still overcome by the urge to stick their hand in their pocket when they were 8 cans into a pack of reduced beers when the sad vids were played??

I was wondering the same last night Cleaver. I'm glad they did raise a lot of money though, charities are really suffering at the moment and the extra will help no end.

The £5 text thing was my motivation to donate. That was so much easier than phoning up. I was juggling Comic Relief, Mewbie's jokeathon and my addiction to American Idol so already had plenty to do, the text thing made it a lot easier.

It had human and crow hybrid, bionic megaphone Davina McCall presenting. Are you sure?

Red Nose Day makes you realise that our problems are laughable.

Anyway, people still have money to spend, a million Micheal Jackson tickets sold yesterday in the space of a few hours.

The high street is still packed, pubs and restaurants are still full and it seems people are still going on holiday despite the low euro.

I also read a BBC report yesterday that 1 in 10 firms are implementing a pay cut this year. So 90% of firms are likely to get a pay rise, however small this may be.

This forum paints a bleak, black picture that every man, women and child are totally screwed - Back in the real world, no one gives two f***S and will carry on as normal paying very little/no attention to the media, and are not sad enough to waste their free time reading depressing posts on MSE.

It was worth £5 of my money to see that Claudia Winkleman and Davina McCall aren't the same person. Though I am now wondering if they are clones, having seen them standing next to each other holding their hands in the same way, being the same height, the same shape, with the same clothes and hair. Very odd.. Maybe Davina is Claudia's rowdy twin.

They are quite similar now you say it. Weirdly though, I quite fancy Claudia Winkleman. Whereas I could quite happily banish Davina McCall to a far flung rocky outpost in the Atlantic where she could spend the rest of her existence yelling at ships to stop them hitting rock.
