second hand kitchen goods

help! I remember seeing an article in a newspaper, or possibly a weekend supplement, about a website that had good quality 2nd hand kitchen goods, like ovens, washing machines, etc. - does anyone here have a clue what it was? I tried googling and no luck...

No idea but I would not bother with most second hand kitchen items as the majority of the time people are getting rid of them because they are not very good, you do not normally replace you washing machine till it starts breaking down.

I'm buying a new US style fridge freezer & looking to sell mine.

I would be grateful if you would tell me where you looked (ebay, free ads or where) as I'm unsure where the best place to advertise mine is.

hmm, Think we may just go locally at this point. A company has been in business many years, and recommended by lots of people, so we'll just use them... pm me if anyone in/near Luton wants to know who! some stuff does come with a guarentee too - they do rentals and repairs too. :)

Mrs E - I looked at ebay, gumtree, sun local ads, friday free ad (very tedious), local shop windows, local newspapers.. good luck!

Try your local auction house. My husbands business does house clearances and we put all such items through one auction. They are all electrically tested for safety, and you can get some real bargains there.
