Hi hun
So your still paying for something you do not need?
If this is the case write back and try to reclaim on this.
They owe you from the time for definate then as from when the loan was completed and to me this do not seem right to still be paying for it.
However, if you feel you were mis sold this from the start, you could even try reclaiming the whole lot of PPI back with interest.
Check this thread out here below.
You will find some useful PPI information, and a letter template for reclaiming.
They have 8 weeks to respond, no matter what your letter is about, but if you have not made a claim on this when you did have the loan, for example sickness/unemployment etc, and you feel you have a case, give it a go, good luck and post all letters by recorded delivery.
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance
You may have to write another letter if not successful, keep on at them until you have exhausted their complaint procedures.
They should let you know this in the final letter and any details of how you can take this further if your not satisfied with the outcome, such as the Financial ombudsman service.
Good luck and if you need further help let us know.;) XXThe one and only "Dizzy Di"

Thank you for your reply
it seems as though it is something called bill protection policy , they say it was took out with my loan in 2003 ( paid off in 2004), the agreement was till 2037 !!! ( cancelled now ) up to £100 claim value??
i dont recall ever agreeing to this , only to insurance on loan payments maybe , it sounds utterly unbelievable for me to have signed this to agree till 2037 ?? im gobsmacked to be honest,
i dont pay any utility bills or mortgage ( live with parent) so couldnt claim on it ...
sending a letter as above poster has recommended.
Any help would be appreciated

Hi Will
Write to them to request all the payments made into this plus any interest (if any) upto the cancellation of this, also request a written breakdown.
If they do not resolve this for you by 8 weeks you can take this matter to the Financial ombudsman service.
Hopefully though you should not have a problem here, they should pay this back without any hassle - but you never know.
Give it a go Will and any problems let us know, we will help you move on to the next step.
Good luck.;)
