Just one question - WHY do you want to pay off your mortgage so quickly?
good question!
i have just had a milestone birthday, and hit the big 5-0. my mortgage is for a 15 year term, as at sept06, and there is no way on gods earth i want to be still paying that off when i'm 65! i want to be using my money to fund all sorts of other adventures then, health willing!
also, the sooner i pay it off, the less i will have to rely on a stressful full time job, yes, there will still be all the other bills comming in, but once mortgage free, it just opens up a whole new world of opportunity

thank you slowlyfading!
i have been quite overwhelmed with the number of people who have said that my thread has inspired them in one way or another, and its a great feeling to think that just maybe i have helped others while wittering on about my own thoughts and ideas on here. it would be great to hear how you're all doing, i'm sure we could all draw inspiration from each other, and have some good ideas to share. as you can see, im not rich, far from it, lol! and i certainly dont earn a fortune either, so lets all get our heads together here, even if its only to post on an up or down day to share a virtual cuppa....
