everything seems sorted for the wedding now, nut i just had my trial hair (curled using GHDs) and it looked lovely, i even found out i could do it at home when one fell out!
but now its 8 hours after the trail at the hairdressers and all the curls have fallen out - this will happen on the day no doubt, so im wondering a) if i should scrap the hairdresser on the day seeing as i can do it myself anyway and b) do any of you lovely people have some sure fire ways of keeping my hair curly?
i have long brown slightly curly hair and would ideally like it a la myleene or cheryl cole, would it be best to curl with GHDs, curl with curlers with wet hair or maybe just blow dry it neat and tidy and just not have it so curly.
all i can think of doing is tryin gout a new style every day until the wedding day until my mind is finally at rest!!
thanks for all your help!

One tip you could try is curling your hair either a day after or a couple of days after you have washed it. Curls fall out of squeaky clean hair a lot faster than they do if it has been washed a day or two before hand. Have a go and see if it works for you- it always does for me!0

i had my hair done half in curls and half straight and up the back for my trial and it looked fantastic and mine lasted all day, i have no idea what type of straightners they used but the best i can recommend is lots an lots of hairspray whilest its curled round and then even more after you let it go they done mine on dry hair my bridesmaids doing mine on the day she just wanted to see what she had to do that was the point of the trial

Yes they will fall out a bit, but done professionally they should be ok - chances are because it was a trial she didn't do the curls as hard as she would on the day
I have VERY heavy hair where curls fall out of VERY easily and mine lasted all day and all evening quite happily
DO invest in some ellenette for touch ups during the day though
edit to say - when mine were done she put them in so they were actually tighter than I wanted because there were 3-4 hours till the ceremony - and by then they looked just perfect
I did my own make up but I'm glad I got a hairdresser to do the hair! Well worth the money! DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

a little mousse through my hair helps to keep the curls in

My top tip! (I have been a bridesmaid 3 times in past 2 years and have to learn to love this method) and whilst I always like to have freshly washed hair each day your hairdresser should encourage you not to wash it on the day. I washed mine the evening before and then put through lots of mouse (my hairdresser told me the cheaper the better!) - let i dry naturally and whilst I looked horrendous on the way to the hairdressers the following morning, when my hair was done it stayed perfect all day! I have very fine hair but absolutely loads of it so it can often get flyaway. Then have a handy little can of strong hairspay on your bag for spritzes!
Finally decided to start growing up when it comes to money!:j

QUite often, the stylist will have a trial run, mainly for them to understand how your hair behaves and what they need to do on the day to make the style last. If you have any doubts, ask the question!
The other posters are right as well, lots of hairspray, mousse etc and under no circumstances have squeaky clean hair - wash at least a day before and ignore it till you get to the hairdresser on the day. The other thing, make sure your hair is in tip-top condition, dry, frizzy and damaged hair will not behave!! I am on a hairdryer, straightner and hot bruh ban till the wedding, with 2-3 treatments a week. Ok, look like I have been dragged through a hedge, but it will be worth it on the day!

We were talking about curly hair he other day and a friend who used to be a hairdresser said she always did hair a lot curlier and tighter than the bride wanted so that 3 hours later when it had dropped a bit it looked perfect!0
