Hi Folks
Decided to make the jump and get a package current account - I'm currently with smile and happy to stay there but I won't get their account as co op do it for £4 cheaper.
So basicaly I'll be opening it and just putting the monthly fee in.
Anyone got any recommendations?

Look on the moneysupermarket.com website for more details, and compare them.
It depends what benefits you would use though, as each packaged accounts has different things in them. It's a personal choice.
Personally, the Halifax one is good, due to the wide range of benefits at a good cost.0 -
Defaqto have rated each bank's packaged account. I'm sure a google of them will give you more info. I know they rated Royalties Gold (RBS) 5* above quite a few others.0

Before you buy any packaged account, price up buying the insurances individually.
Ask the questions:
1) What insurance do I really need
2) What insurance would I have bothered to buy had these accounts not existed
Then get quotes for separate policies.
It will almost certainly be cheaper than a packaged account.
Also, if the Halifax will pay you £5 for NOT having a packaged account, why not use the £60 a year they would give you to pay for some of the insurances you want?0 -

thanks for all your help guys, Defaqto is an awful site to navigate!
I think I'll go with the first direct package account, seems good for the money. Plus the debit card looks great!:santa2:0
