Is it too late to take my landlord to court?

I moved out of a property in Feb last year and the landlord withheld a sizeable amount of the deposit for various items inc a broken window.

I was quite willing to take him and the letting agents to court as there was no inventory taken before I moved in and they cannot prove I broke the window (I did not break it, I would pay if I had) but due to a number of factors, I kept putting off the court procedure to claim my money back.

In a nutshell, have I missed my opportunity or would it still be feasible to instigate court proceedings and if so, would it harm my case that I have taken so long to get to this stage?

    Why leave it until now to think about following it up?
  • you can claim for up to 6 years, but the longer you leave it the more questions the judge may ask/be more dubious about your side of the story.
