It says when you do the payment, usually it says around 2 hours. Check tomorrow. Halifax uses roll numbers too, did you put that in the reference box?0

It should be 'instantaneous' really if it has gone through. First thing is to check that the payment details (sort code account number) were definitely correct. If they are then check with HSBC to confirm that your payment was sent to those details and via FPS. If they say 'yes' then approach Halifax and ask them why they aren't showing the receipt yet......under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam0

For me HSBC Current Account to Halifax Student Account it is instant0

Faster payments can take up to 4 hours.
If there is a problem, i.e. wrong details, it should be bounced back by the switch taking more than twice that time (so, 8 hours).
As said above, were any relevant roll numbers quoted? What would William Shatner do?0 -
as ref i put funds transfer.0

For transfers to Halifax roll numbers are not needed. As long as the sort code and account number are correct it will go through fine. Your sort code & account number combination refers uniquely to your account, so no other reference is needed.0
