My debt is close approching 6 yrs and they keep phoning and i keep telling them that i'm not me, last conversation i was told i would be getting a supprise, i replyed goody i love supprises he said you won't like the one that is comming to the door, i had a letter a couple of days later to say i would be having a visit on the 16th of feb in which i was working anyway but my husband was home so told him to tell them their was no such person, they still to this day haven't been, i've had a number of calls since and just told this scotish bloke that their are numbers in the back of the sport for men like him and if he keeps hasseling me i will contact the police and have him on an harrasment charge, and it's a shame the company have so much money to waste on phone calls, they can send who ever round i'm not frightened and if they get past me they have the dog to contend with and i would not hold him back and thats a fact and they wouldn't be able to do a thing about it i have been told that by the police when we had kids fence hoping and 1 of our dogs went for them, they said due to them being on the property the dog is only doing what it is intended to do. so come on Mckenzie hall I may be a woman but will not be intimidated by you!!!!!!!!

They are full of !!!! and never back up their claims. They have been investigated by local trading standards due to their sharp practices. They have not got a clue who owes what not withstanding they are trying to get money for statute barred debts. Sadly your dog will not be able to eat who they send round as they wont bother. Dont speak or do anything with them. They cant even send out proper letters, they disguise them in 'pay slip' style envelopes and pseudo telegrams!

In August 2007 I received a payslip letter from MH and in september another letter which I ignored. I found out yester that They have done a search on me with equifax which does not show on experian. the reason for search outstanding debt. Now I have never spoken to them and if there is any debt it will be staued barred as I have cleared all my debts outstanding in the last 6 years.



equifax state that this will be held on my account for 2 years, how can Mh do a search when they do not know if it is you.

well its been a couple off months and not heard anything back from these muppets till today i get a letter from merit force saying there comming round to my address within 10 days as i have not paid my outstanding debt from muck hall (what debt dont have any with em) just wondering what my next move should be my wife is panicing again

Rammy - your last two posts on this thread are before & after the OFT sent a warning shot to MH about chasing disputed debts including statute barred ones

thanx alot for the advice will get onto that now just never seems to end with these people just worried about someone comming to my door

hi just a quick up date today ive had another letter from merrit force offering a reduced amount offer now(they can reduce it as much as they wont as i dont owe it)this is after all letters have been sent saying the debt is barred and not mine ,it says if i ignor it they will take further action ,the last letter said they were sending a person round if i did not pay, that was a few months ago just wanted to know what next as they just seem to ignor my letters about the debts not mine and its barred thanks for any help im not worried about it anymore from the advice ive been given on here has been fantastic
