Bumping - cant decide whether i should stick with the vented cylinder water heater at a cost of £900 plus up to £100 a year service OR if i should spend £1400 on a thermal store heater that wouldnt need an annual service and may well have a longer life span. Does anyone know the advantages / disadvantages of one system over the other? - also a bit worried now that the vented cylinder sounds dangerous after watching that video!Snootchie Bootchies!0

Hi
See post #6 .
How many unvented cylinder incidents have you heard of?
They are no more or less dangerous than any other item in everyday use.
Google 'thermal store.'
The thermostat of the immersion heater is set at 77 degrees in the G|ledhill Torrent.
Do you think this might use more electricity?
Your choice.
