  • hi mattnay

the previous owner did not get planning permission to build it in the first place. She had to take out an indemnity policy to cover any retrospective request.

There is already a fire door fitted from the kitchen to the garage conversion. We did ask a double glazing firm about replacing it with a UPVC door when the room is converted back into a garage and was informed that it had to be a fire door which they stated we already have.
  • hi all

Just an update on the Garage reversal. I have received 3 quotes one for £4,370, and the other 2 work out about the same at £2,300 each which both include labour, materials and choice of garage door.

I am going with one of the guys who quoted £2,300 as it meets my requirements. He estimates it will take about 3 days to complete. Just waiting for a start date.
  • Job done final bill £2,400, excellent job completed in less than 3 days.
