I am thinking of getting the old gnashers whitened this year - my dentist has given a price of just over £300 for the Britesmile system. Is this a reasonable price?!
Feel free to thank me, it makes my toes tingle and my ears go warm :T

The girlfriend send away to these fellas http://www.brightsmiledirect.com/ and did it all herself, made the mould and sent it off and they sent her the gum shield and the stuff in syringes. It was 139 which was good after being quoted £300 by the dentists round here.0

There's a stand in Castle Court at the minute and they are doing free trials of their system. Go there before you make any decisions as I've heard loads of good feedback and seen some great results - and no, I don't work for them.0

The White Smile Clinic in Newry does teeth whitening in 1 hr, usual cost is £239 which can be paid in one go or in 12 monthly installments but think they have a credit crunch deal on, have seen it in a newspaper, think it might be £189. I've had it done and the result is amazing, all in 1 hour!0

You can buy the exact same system that is used at the dentist at www.BrightSmileDirect.com for just £99. Its great you get custom fitted trays with 6 bleaching gels.
On the website it is for £139 but if you put the cost "BSD99" you will get a further £40 off.
They also offer a money back guarentee if your not happy with the results.
I was amazed how white my teeth are now. And the good thing is that as I have my trays and can just top up whenever I want.0 -
Apply the code "BSD99" at the end of your checkout with www.BrightSmileDirect.com and you will get £40 off your bill, just £99, its amazing.0

Me and my sis have just been discussing getting this done, good to hear from people who have been through it and get some recommendations. The one in Newry for £189 sounds really good, think I will give them a call tomorrow to check if this offer is still on.0

There's a hugh long-running thread over on the health and beauty thread all about the pros & cons of the various ways of getting teeth whitened.
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=164595How to find a dentist.
1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.0
