Franke Taps

Afternoon,
I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with Franke taps.? We have just ordered a franke tap and the first one arrived yesterday and it was so stiff you couldn't swing the mixer arm, so our supplier sent it back and a new one has come in this morning and that is also so stiff it turns the whole tap when you try and swing the arm. Is it normal for Franke taps to be so stiff, Mum has Franke Mythos tap and my Dad has had to tighten the whole tap up under the sink 3 times as this is also very stiff.! Have we just been unlucky with these 3 or is it a common problem,?
