home insurance claim

I have recently had a fire on back of house, all external damage. Insurers have been and appointed there builders to come in and replace windows and clean back of house.
The problem I have is they have jet washed back of house to get all smoke damage of(there was a lot). Some bricks are still heavily stained, when asked the builder if anymore could be done, he said," thats the best we can get it". I am sure there are better techniques to restore bricks, are they trying to cut corners or should I except that this.

Thanks for you help in advance.

You are entitled to have your home restored to the condition it was in prior to the loss. Take it up with your insurers.

They are being laze and / or not using the correct additive in the jet washer. Advise the Insurer you are not happy with the work as it needs more to be done on it.

I had one of my clients with a similar problem and the builder they used just tried jet washing with no additives and left it in a similar way. We got a more compentent builder in who knew how to clean it and was not lazy and hey presto they got virtually all of it off.
