Have Nationwide changed their rules then? As I have two flex accounts (cashcard) and two new flex accounts with debit cards

It certainly seems so, my parents also have 2 accounts each but when I tried to apply they called 2 WEEKS later to say that I wasn't allowed them. It might be a new situation as I actually went into branch to open the account and was not told that I couldn't.First win Friday 13th! Knew it was a lucky day for me

Ok, fair enough.
Oh yeah, remember to book an appointment. Most branches seem to work on appointment bases. This is what happend to me.
Use this website to do so, therefore, no need to waste money. https://www.barclays.co.uk/current-accounts/barclayscallback.html

Opened in branch in 10mins, very friendly and really helpful. Offered me a mortgage appointment and had a giggle when I told them I needed a 90% mortgage! Oh well, at least the account is sorted and the card should be here within the week. Highly recommended.First win Friday 13th! Knew it was a lucky day for me

Which bank did you open the account?
It's surprising that they are offering you a mortgage while you are there, as a new customer!0 -
My local branch - Portsmouth
I think its good practice to offer a mortgage appointment also, I'd have done it if I was them!First win Friday 13th! Knew it was a lucky day for me
