Did anyone see the first clip of the child carer, his mum was blind and his dad had some other disorder... my first instinct was for the poor kid who's living a terrible life but then i thought, maybe the GP of the mother and father should have been advising them that having kids was ill advised in their situation... maybe that's a bit extreme but my opinion.......

Erin just said to me, "mum, you're on telly"

    She meant Nessa!!

Sorry Maz, I completely missed this and cross posted about the same thing! :o

But OMG, you look nothing like Nessa (actually I think Ruth Jones is rather pretty in real life, but still, you are soooo much foxier! Tidy :D)

And i wonder how many of his supporters (apart from his very close wealthy ones) follow his orders because they beleive his way or because they are afraid of him and of being killed if they are against him?

Well if they believed neither of these things - why would they be supporters? His supporters have benefited financially from his way - which is why they are supporters. Alas (for them) - it was not sustainable, and they didn't die of old age before finding that out the hard way.
Because Zimbabwe doesn't have massive oil reserves in the ground then the country is of no use to the UK or USA, otherwise i bet that Mugabe would have gone the way of Saddam.

Zimbabwe has huge mineral reserves off and on like those of South Africa. Unsurprisingly given the geography and geology of the area.

If mineral reserves are the only criteria for "survival" - why have the Iranians been autonomous since 1979?
So because 'we' (UK,USA and other rich countries) can't rape the valuable resourses from Zimbabwe, should we not do anything to help the common person who is starving, who's home is being bulldozed down cos it's a shanty town?

To do so would be "imperialism". Alas those who decried the West's interference in Africa and got their own way in the 80's and got the policy non-interference and "self-government" are just having to suck it up now...
