Not worth it tbh. I looked at it and realised Diesel was the way to go.

I would get 30mpg on LPG and reduced perormance at 54p p/l

Or 60mpg on Diesel at 97.9 p/l with a TD...

And you don't have to worry about diesel availability like with LPG's.

Seriously - I considered the V40 Bi-fuel and decided it was a waste of time. Loads of the manufacturers tried it - who are still producing them?

Better to buy a car with LPG already fitted - the extra cost is a fraction of the installation price

Also remeber you'll get extra servicing costs, it being an LPG and I don't think you can take it on the C.Tunnel.

V40 Bi Fuel is a good one - in fact any of the Volvo's.

Seriosuly though - you'll be better off with a diesel.

My feeling would be that if I was buying a car that I intended running it for say 10 - 15 years it might be worth it. If I was just keeping it for 3 years then I think there are cheaper and easier alternatives.

The biggest unknown will be where will the cost/duty of LPG be in a few years? As harvey has pointed out it appears to have risen faster than conventional fuels.
