Has anyone got any advice on renting a room out where would be best to advertise?

Send a letter to some local schools or the Educatio Office if you would like a teacher to rent the room.
Teachers will have been checked out for any police record................................I have put my clock back....... Kcolc ym0 -

Thanks good Idea, hadnt thought about that, will take a pic of a couple of the rooms and get it sent to a few round here, see what comes of it, and then at least know where they work too!!

No overnight guests without meeting prior a number of times!
No Smoking
No leaving laundry in the washing machine
If you use the bath clean the ring off after!
If you know the milk is low dont use the last get one in advance
No leaving clothes randomly scattered
If you are going to get drunk and be rough as dogs the next day, dont expect me to play my music quietly?!
Shoes off Upstairs! Ahhh thats my pet hate!
Dont drink my beer without offering me one at least!!
when you park on the drive dont park forwards park backwards easier for both get off (confusing, but if you saw youd know what I mean.

Nah.
I think your overnight guest rule is fine. I'd hate to have strangers in the house - I'd go further and say none during the week.
I'd also specifiy noise levels. And not using hot water to rinse plates before putting them in the dishwasher, not overfilling the kettle, not hogging the bathroom all morning, no leaving plates of food in bedrooms or lounge, washing up done fairly prompty, grill pan being cleaned after every use.0 -
