Barclaycard cashback - 2% and instant

Hi
I phoned Barclaycard today to cancel my card as a protest against them writing to me to lower my rate (I didn't like the way the letter was written).
They offered me 2% cashback for 6 months in anticipation of them introducing a new cashback card sometime soon.
Rather than saving the cashback for a payout once a year, you will be able to take a discount when using your card or save it for a while and then take it off a future purchase at the point of sale.
At 2% it means I can give my Capital One card (1% cashback) a rest and I like the 'instant' cashback feature. If the permanent deal is 1%, I'll stick with them.
