Travel Insurance Question

Hi, wondering if anyone one can help?

I'm going to New York with my Sister soon and have been looking into annual travel insurance. I wondered if anyone knows the following?

I'm looking at an individual insurance policy (my sister's looking for a separate couple's policy) since we are both travelling abroad separately later in the year. I have paid for the whole trip and what I need to know is that should my sister need to cancel would she be able to claim? She is mentioned on the holiday booking form on which the entire value of the holiday is stated, therefore could she claim half the value of the holiday should I want to go regardless. Or would it be better to cancel the whole holiday and claim it back in full?

Many thanks

  • Try the travel insurance link (coloured yellow) at the the dark blue banner above. If your sister has her own annual insurance and her name appears on the booking form she should be able the claim separately, if the reason for her cancellation is covered by her insurance.
