The same way you'd determine the price of anything. Know exactly what they're trying to sell/part exchange and compare to the going rate.0 -
Well thanks for all the advice, we PX it yesterday and when is saw it he offered £100 more than he originally said and then gave us another £100 without us even asking because we wanted to deal then and there. Seemed like a nice guy in the end and we get a new car in 10 days.0

He may seem like a nice guy to you, but the majority are not nice guys, they are there to sell. All very well like he is giving you £200 extra for your car, what really matters now is the price you bought the new car for.
All done now, if you could of got £200+ less for the new car elsewhere then the salesman probably really isn't very nice!0 -
Whether you got a good deal or bad deal is not really important ! If you are happy with that deal and feel comfortable with it that is all that matters .
Nobody on the forum can say if the deal was okay we do not know how much profit the dealer had in the car .
I hope you enjoy your new car purchase all you can do is get the best deal available to you at the time of purchase0
