Hi we have been informed about 90 days notice that we are to be made redundant. and i want to ask a few questions about our rights.
I have a question about the following point
to take reasonable time off, with pay, to look for alternative work or training
Does this apply????? does this mean i can say i am going to the job centre and i will get paid if i am working that day? does this mean i can attend interviews and get paid for them if i am work
just another question, what happens regarding holiday pay, the companys eems to be very slow in letting us use holidays..
thanks in advance

I'm not sure about the time of thing, but as you have been there under a year i think that would be under there discretion, hope someone proves me wrong

If you are being made redundant you are entitled to take reasonable time off with pay (but no more than 2/5ths of a week's pay in total, regardless of the length of time off allowed) to look for another job, or to arrange training for future employment. You must have at least two years' continuous service. You can take the time off within working hours while under notice.
You should get any holiday pay accrued but it depends on your contract, some firms use the calender year, some use the finicial year, , its about 1.3 days per month worked, less any takenPROUD TO BE DEALING WITH MY DEBT NERD #869Numpty,Not sure why but I'm crying. Although as you have less than 2 years service you are not entitled to any statutory redundancy pay, you are I believe entitled to the other benefits in terms of paid time off for interviews etc.No free lunch, and no free laptop0
