Copper pipe pricing

Hi I'm after the going rates (trade) on both 15mm & 22mm copper pipe. I need to get some ordered so need to make sure I don't get ripped off.
I take it they come in what 3m lengths?
Thanks
Alan

Take a look at Plumb Center's website, the prices are on there - if you take yourself down there and pay in cash my experience is that 20% discount is easily achievable with no haggling skills. There are 10 types of people in the world, those that understand binary and those that don't
In many cases it helps if you say where you are - someone with local knowledge might be able to give local specifics rather than general advice0 -
Have a look at screwfix.com0

Prices change weekly and there is a difference between British (IMI Yorkex, Wednesbury) and foreign (usually Boliden) tubes (also a vast difference in quality in my opinion, foreign is cheaper). It is currently very expensive, around £0.90 p/metre 15mm and I think £1.70 p/metre 22mm for British, plus VAT. Five years ago we were buying 30 metre bundles of 15mm for £20 including VAT!0

In B+Q which is quite expensive, a 20m bundle of 15mm copper is £26 and 20m of 22mm copper is £540

Cheers all,
Will let you know how I get on. Was hoping for delivery from MrCentralHeating ASAP but can't deliver until mid march - move is on Friday and my old man will hopefully be able to pick all up before hand.
Waiting for plumber to come round to see whats our best option (we have just brought an old semi and needs completely new CH system) we have a pack price but pipping maybe too long for the car.
Anyone had copper pipping from the above? Is it all OK? My guess is they buy in huge quantities for the discount? Sure it will all be OK.
Anyone know where I can sell 4 'old fashioned' rads? Seem to be all the rage at the mo - but very expensive to buy? Was thinking of ebay?
Thanks

You should phone around the plumbers merchants for prices before turning up - it'll be cheaper for bundle quantities (30m).
In terms of the radiators, it can be really hard to find imperial width sizes now (ie. radiators tend to increase in 100mm amounts: 600mm, 700mm, 800mm wide, etc etc) and so you could find them in demand. Because of the weight you'll only really be able to sell on ebay with collect only service which will limit the market somewhat. Good luck though!0 -
If you have a scrap metal dealer beside you have a trip there first.
My M8 has just recently installed heating & re plumbed his house…..& all of the copper pipe (15 & 22mm) came from the scrap yard…it was all brand new & in 3 meter lengths & they had packs of the stuff. They also had bucket fulls of fittings.
We plumbed the whole house (3 bed semi) for £30!0 -

It may be ok but could split after not so long!! You haven't got a 25 year warranty with that like you have with Yorshire Copper Tube!! Its scrap for a reason!!0
