AA membership

Unfortunately I forgot that my AA membership is up for renewal and they have now automatically debited by account for £53. I was intending on changing my membership particularly since this renewal coast included a £16 administration charge (what for I'm not too sure!).
I have since phoned AA and they informed me that I can still cancel my policy since it is within a 14 day period since it was activated, however I will incur an administration charge of £14. Is this all leagal and above board because I feel like they are taking extra money from me whether I intend to cancel my policy or continue it!!!!
Thanks for the help!!!

You are entitled to an explanation of this charge, so ask them why they are making it.
If they say its covered by the conditions (which it must be for them to charge it), then get them to point you to the exact term that covers this.
Then if you cannot see this, then dispute it with them.0 -
Hello newbie.
Your error - your cost.
The FSA are crawling over things like this and the AA (not Alcoholics Anonymous or Amercian Airlines) have no doubt got this covered....Reassuringly expensive0
