Hi
I've always used turkey mince as I don't eat red meat and have always loved it..
I've been buying Asda turkey mince for ages but lately the last few times I've used it it tastes different.. it has an almost cruchy texture.. at first i thought it was the pepper I was using so tried again today but it was the same and had a little white round bone in it which nearly broke my tooth!
Has anyone else had a problem?

Hi,
That's truly awful! Poor you
I can't say I've had this problem, but if you take the packet back ASDA should give you a refund. Though you could write a letter of complaint, cos that is a bit rank!

Perhaps turkeys have been getting skinnier, so you've been getting more gristle minced up with the muscle, fat, intestines etc...?
You are aware that any MINCED meat is generally made from what's left over after all the nice bits have been taken to sell as other cuts?
Could you not just buy turkey breast and mince it yourself?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
:j hello try shopping at a local butcher, where he will offer advize on cuts of meat and you could try things like, chicken thigh meat.it is a cheap piece of meat.the butcher could also offer bulk buys of turkey or chicken mince. After all what you are buying, may be turkey but not the best bits at the supermarket.I always like to buy meat that at least resmbles what animal it came off and only buy butchers mince.0
