hotel in budapest and iceland

in Overseas holidays & travel planning
we are off to budapest for a weekend soon. can anyone recommend a good hotel, close to the city centre. also, any ideas of restaurants or places to visit would be gratefully received.

we are also off to iceland a fortnight later - booked cheap flights when the travelzoo email advertised them. nice hotel and places to visit needed for here as well.

    Yes I have ..... but it was on a stag weekend .... so we didnt see much of Budapest by day ;)

    In terms of hotels, as we were a large group of lads, we stayed at the Millenium Court Appartments (owned by Marriot). Each appartment had 2 double rooms and a kitchenette/lounge area. Great location near the river, shops, and food. Check it out on https://www.tripadvisor.com for reviews.

    We went to Iceland on a day trip so cannot recommend any hotels. Just to let you know it is VERY expensive. a 3 course meal worked out at £50 each.
    Strange place - very barren but Blue lagoon an experience. Have a good time
