Just opened my post and have a letter from Barclaycard, good news! They have lowered my interest rate from 14.9% to 12.4%.
Very good, but I never have an outstanding balance, but I guess that is why!

I had the same letter, but always pay in full so never have need of what the interest rate is. I would have thought they could have offered these deals to people who do pay interest really.

My Barclaycard purchase rate is 11.9%, it hasn't changed for a while. I wonder if this will come down too?0

Mine is down too, same details as OP.
I also pay off in full and, to me, this is a encouragement to try and get me to NOT pay it off in full....
.... their plan will nay work on me!Best Regards,

The lower rate is recognition that you're a low-risk customer. Those who pay interest month after month are considered comparatively high-risk.People who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.0 -
Mines down to 11.6% (feb 09 statement) from 12.2% (jan 09 statement). Its quite strange as its slowly been dropping since sept 08 when it was 15.5%.
I've noticed on their website new cards are offered 12.4%. thats competitive considering the current climate.0 -
I received a letter also today. My interest rate has gone down from 14.9% to 11.9%0

Hmmm I had one too but my card has gone down from 25.9 to 22.9%
I don't use my cards now and am only paying off balances. Might have to kick this one out as soon as paid off.
