Inventory Query

Hi all,

I moved into my rented flat at the end of December last year. An inventory was completed and sent to me. Having had some advice on what can happen when you move out if not everything is mentioned I added some other 'defects' which I thought should be on there and sent back to the management people (I've forgotten the correct term!)

Having reminded them several times I've still not had confirmation that they are happy with my alterations or a signed copy?

It doesn't really matter but I am looking to move out at the end of my 6 month agreement as I've just bought a house. I don't really want any problems then.

Is there a period where they have to confirm this otherwise it's 'invalid'?

Many thanks

if you have signed it and they have not, and you have proof that you sent it, then a judge would probably accept your amendments - but you can never tell with judges !

Dumb question I know - you kept a copy of what you sent??

Whatever the answer to that question write a letter/email the Agent noting you sent the inventory back on DD/MM/YY and you've reminded them of than on xxdate & yydate... Send with prof-of-postage / get an email receipt...

    Cheers!
