content's Insurance needed for daughter.

My daughter is due to move into her own place in a few weeks, and I'm trying to get some contents insurance for her, that I'm actually going to pay for myself.
Now,Ive looked on the internet, and the prices are ridiculous, from £33+ per month.
she is on her own,its only officially a bed sit with 3 rooms in total.

A lot of quote's ddint come to nothing,as it said I'm not going to be living in the property, but that dosn't mean its going to be empty.
It's just that I'm paying.
But that amount seems such a lot anyhow,I only pay £16+ for a 3 bed house.
When I've filled in the q's on the inquiry forms,it states, do you want to insure another property other than the post code you live at.Ive answered yes.
Is there another way round it,it just seems so expensive??
I cannot give her the money each month to put in the bank either,as it prob would end up behind the bar!
Thanks in advance for answers..x

I think you may be approaching this all wrong....You say that you are going to pay for the policy for her - if that is the case then why are you trying to put it in your name? Just enter all of the details as if you were your daughter, so that the policy would be in her name, she can sign any necessary paperwork, then you just pay it for her.By answering the questions based on your details you are making it look like a much higher risk e.g. you don't live in the property, this is a second property etc.
