Carphone Warehouse - Refund

Hi,
A mobile phone handset only was purchased for me by my mother (Samsung G600) and after having it only 2 days I have found that the reception on it is really bad.
I called the CPW to see if I could swap for another and they have advised I can only swap for another Samsung G600 and if the same thing happens 3 times then I can get a new model of phone. Not happy at this as I have had the phone such a short period of time and just want something else now as if it doesnt work afetr 2 days why would it work any longer???
My mother also purchased insurance on the phone and when I called to see if we could have a refund on this I was told no as it is for that specific phone and if I change it I lose the insurance. I have made enquiries into this and have found that it is completely untrue you have 14 days to be entitled to a full refund if you change your mind about it.
Please can you advise if there is anything I can do A) to get a full refund and just not have anything more to do with CPW or
to have an exchange done straight away for a new model of phone.

Are you certain that the phone is faulty or is the network coverage poor in your area?
Carphone Warehouse phones are unlocked to any network so you could try a different SIM card from another network and see if the reception is better.0 -
I have had pther phones and they have all worked okay.
Also had this make and model before 2 years ago (mum wasnt to know) and it was bad then as well!!
The network I am on I have been on for ages - really good service etc from them so dont particularly want to change that!0
